About me
Hi, I’m Jayne, I completed my Adult and Child integrative Counselling training in 2014, whilst working as Pastoral support in a large secondary school. It was a result of working with children and their families that I wanted to become a counsellor in conjunction with my own childhood experiences.
My early experiences included bullying at school so I was able to understand and offer compassion to students and support the families. I was also heavily involved with Child protection and safeguarding which added to becoming a counsellor.
My experience in later life led me to train with East Kent Rape Crisis Centre and I have continued to work with the charity since my placement began in 2013. I am particularly interested in working with trauma of all kinds and have personal and professional experience.
I am due to start Family therapy training this year (2019) which was always my goal.
I have been around horses since I was 7 yrs old and they helped me through many tough times which is why I believe in their therapeutic ability and want to share this with others, along with being aligned with Attachment theory as this is very much a part of my core.
I have been lucky enough to have owned a horse since 2003, I have owned Pip since he was 2 and ¾ yrs old. I love all wildlife and love being outside finding peace and tranquillity.

About me
Hi I’m Fiona, I completed my adult integrative counselling training in 2017 with further study and completion of my level 5 Child and young person diploma in 2018. I have always been interested and passionate about mental health.
Before this I worked in the city for a number of years for a large Insurance company handling claims for international shipping firms. This included 4 years working in the Greece office.
My early life was spent growing up in India before being sent to boarding school aged 5 and then on to England boarding school aged 9. This experience highlighted the importance of Attachment theory to me, which continues to inform my practice with adults and children.
I went on to leave Secondary school with A levels in English Literature, Geography and History and went on to University to achieve a Batcheler of Education (hons) degree, specialising in Primary age teaching, Key Stage 1, having taught for a year I felt I lacked life experience and went off to pursue other goals.
With a keen interest in horses, I have had the privilege of owning horses since 1990, being outside and within nature is very important to me and the horse enable me to relax and unwind.
I also have 3 dogs and 2 cats and have always been an animal lover.
